5 tips on how to be more sustainabe

1 Re-use plastic bags:

Reuse the plastic bags when you are doing shopping. Refuse the bag for easy-to-carry purchases. Reuse old plastic bags. You can buy a good bag and use that. You can make craft from plastics bottles as well, like using the bottles as pots for seeds and seedlings.

2 Make organic soaps:

Detergents and soaps have a lot chemicals. Organic soaps do not produce harmful poisons and toxics. Organic soaps are healthier for our body. They also cleanse and moisturize our skin naturally. Organic soap has natural anti-biotic agents like essential oil.

3 Segregate waste:

Waste segregation is the sorting and separation of waste types to facilitate recycling and correct onward disposal. Segregate waste means dividing waste into dry and wet categories. Dry waste includes plastic and related products, metals and glass et. Wet waste typically refers to the food and garden wastes that contain moisture or wetness. Examples are: wood chips, dead leaves, food left-overs and cardboard or newspaper. You can give some wet waste to animals to feed, and other wet waste can be used to make compost for the garden.

4 Eat local food:

The primary benefit of eating locally grown foods is that it gives your body the nutrients it needs and limits the substances that can be harmful to you in high quantities. Local food has a shorter time between harvest and your table, and it is less likely that the nutrient value has decreased. Local food benefits the local economy. Some local food like vegetables and fruits are not packed in plastic. This is better for the environment.

5 Plant flowers for bees:

Flowers play a crucial role in the survival of bees, as they provide the primary source of food for these industrious pollinators. Bees are perfectly adapted to pollinate, helping plants grow, breed and produce food. They do so by transferring pollen between flowering plants and therefore keeping the cycle of life turning. Flowers like lavender, hollyhock, cosmos and hellebore are good for bees. The survival of humans depends on bees. Without bees, many foods would not get pollinated and grown!
